PROJECT Funeral letters

Project leader Hendrik (Pottie) Potgieterfunearl project
The Funeral Letter project is a joint venture between the Genealogical Society of South Africa (GSSA) and the SA Genealogies dicsussion group with GSSA acting as host for the total collection of Funeral Letters.
Description
They have many names: funeral programme, memorial pamphlet, service handout, or as we call them, funeral letters.
A funeral letter is typically a folded printed sheet with details of what will take place during the funeral or memorial service. It usually contains a tribute to the deceased and / or celebrates the life of the deceased.
It is usually a rich source of genealogical information.
