The Les Williams Memorial Lecture

Les 2Les Williams and Pauline Goldsmith re-established the East Cape Branch, and was a past chairman of the branch. 
Before computers were available, he manually drew 77 family tree charts by hand, using the names of each family
member written on a card, then sorted the cards, to establish the family tree, from his research.
He actively practiced family research for well over 30 years, and what started as a hobby became a passion and a
rich source of friendships way beyond South African borders.He became computer literate in his early eighties and
